Job Summary:

The Vail Mountain Maintenance Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mountain facilities. This position will be responsible for coordinating the mountain service team, responding to work orders, and maintaining the work orders system. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be proficient in computer-based systems, and have a strong understanding of facility electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily checks of each facility's energy management systems
  • Generate work orders to investigate out of the ordinary situations discovered
  • Answer phones and dispatch technicians in accordance with Mountain Services priority list
  • Supervise and anticipate all materials requests made by technicians
  • Run the payroll process for all Mountain Services personnel through PeopleSoft
  • Provide daily oversight of the mountain janitorial staff
  • Assist with scheduling of jobs, outside contractors, vacations, capital projects, and any other activity born of Mountain Services
  • Work with Security Team on Fire Life Safety system inspection, repairs, and deficiencies
  • Assist the manager with maintaining strict control over the fiscal year operating and capital project budgets
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to run a computer-based DDC system and handle a computer-based work order system
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and general internet skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong intermediate skier or snowboarder
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of internal workings of Vail Mountain and resort experience
  • Knowledge of facility electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
Compensation:

The expected pay range is $28.48. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
