Job Summary:

The Vail Mountain Maintenance Coordinator will oversee the mountain service team, ensuring seamless operations and responding to calls from various departments. This role involves coordinating work orders, maintaining the work order system, and performing daily checks of energy management systems in all buildings on Vail Mountain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate work orders to investigate unusual situations
  • Answer phones and dispatch technicians according to the Mountain Services priority list
  • Supervise and anticipate materials requests from technicians
  • Run payroll processes for Mountain Services personnel through PeopleSoft
  • Provide daily oversight of mountain janitorial staff
  • Assist with scheduling jobs, outside contractors, vacations, capital projects, and other Mountain Services activities
  • Collaborate with the Security Team on Fire Life Safety system inspections, repairs, and deficiencies
  • Assist the manager in maintaining fiscal year operating and capital project budgets, including journal entries for the Sign Shop and PC Cards
  • Bill Larkspur monthly for work orders completed and parts used
  • Assist other operations-based departments with technical aspects, such as snow reporting, grooming reports, web page projects, etc.
  • Prioritize and manage the janitorial subcontractor in all contracted facilities
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to run a computer-based DDC system and handle a computer-based work order system, as well as Word, Excel, and general internet skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong intermediate skier or snowboarder
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of internal workings of Vail Mountain and resort experience
  • Knowledge of facility electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
Compensation:

The expected pay range is $28.48. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
