Nursing Assistant I/II 15N Medicine Full Time Evenings

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I/II to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide empathetic care to our patients, their families, and visitors, upholding the highest standards of integrity and respect.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and personal care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients as needed.
- Document patient care and behaviors accurately and thoroughly.
- Nursing Assistant 1: Possession of or ability to acquire necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities during the probationary period.
- Nursing Assistant 2: One year of satisfactory full-time experience in patient care services under professional supervision.
- Preferred qualifications include NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license or certification from an approved program, one year of patient care experience, and a High School Diploma or GED.
