Nursing Assistant I/II 17N Surge Onc Part Time Evenings

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I/II to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing empathic care to our patients, their families, and visitors. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and have frequent face-to-face communication with patients and their visitors to convey information on treatment procedures and visitor hours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding and toileting
- Chart and document patient care and behaviors as required
- Take temperatures, pulse rates, blood pressure, and respiration rates
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties as related to direct care
- NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license or certification from an approved certified nursing aide training program
- One year of patient care experience
- High School Diploma or GED
