Sugarbush Resort is seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Custodial Technician Lead to oversee operations at our Health & Recreation Center, referred to as the SHaRC. This role is essential in ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities, providing an exceptional experience for our guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and facility knowledge.
- Plan and manage seasonal projects, including the opening and closing of outdoor amenities.
- Conduct troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance on fitness equipment.
- Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Submit and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Adhere to staffing and supply budgets.
- Perform facility safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Participate in annual training sessions, including HAZWOPER.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and record-keeping requirements.
- Provide weekly reports to management and attend regular staff meetings.
- Monitor building systems and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Handle laundry services, including washing and stocking towels.
- Work scheduled maintenance shifts as required.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma along with post-secondary vocational training and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Experience in building maintenance or housekeeping is preferred. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in various weather conditions, including around pools, and be capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 80 lbs). A strong focus on guest interaction and service is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is required.
