Job Title: Active Treatment Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Active Treatment Coordinator to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an Active Treatment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and quality of life of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate leisure activities for individuals served, ensuring they are age-appropriate, meaningful, and aligned with their individualized goals.

* Monitor and report on the quality of activities and services provided, making adjustments as needed to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual.

* Prepare and provide feedback reports to the Active Treatment Coordinator Supervisor on the ongoing monitoring of activities and services.

* Develop and implement imaginative and functional activities to engage individuals in meaningful experiences.

* Maintain inventory and order recreational supplies as needed.

Requirements:

* Ability to make decisions and use good judgment in critical incidents.

* Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.

* Knowledge of individual care techniques and treatment programs.

* Ability to communicate effectively and train/mentor/coach others.

* Ability to work effectively with others as a member of a team.
