We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team at Stratford School. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and safe environment for our young students.
About the RoleAs an Early Preschool Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to ensure the successful operation of the classroom. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing a responsive and engaging environment that promotes positive development of social and emotional competencies.
- Collaborating with other faculty and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Communicating daily with parents or guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
- Maintaining a well-organized and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and exploration.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma and 6 semesters or 9 quarter early childhood education units that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior teaching experience with preschool students is a plus.
