About the Role

As an Early Preschool Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to ensure the successful operation of the classroom. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a responsive and engaging environment that promotes positive development of social and emotional competencies.
  • Collaborating with other faculty and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicating daily with parents or guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity and exploration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and 6 semesters or 9 quarter early childhood education units that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior teaching experience with preschool students is a plus.
