We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner II to join our Hematology/Oncology Division at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care, communicate with patients and families, and provide education on disease management and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Stay current with advances in hematology and oncology, incorporating new knowledge and skills into practice.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification and ACLS certification.
- Current, active, unrestricted Furnishing license and DEA registration.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification (ACONP) and/or ONS Chemotherapy Certification (obtained within 3 months of hire).
- Ability to obtain UCIMC Allied Health Professional Privileges prior to hire.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Infusion Center Experience (at least 2 or more years).
- Experience with clinical trial patient participation.
