Nurse Practitioner II

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner II to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our Department of Medicine, Hematology/Oncology Division, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory and infusion center settings, including multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
- Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to provide cutting-edge care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding and optimal care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification and ACLS certification.
- Current, active, unrestricted Furnishing license and DEA registration.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification (ACONP) and/or ONS Chemotherapy Certification (obtained within 3 months of hire).
- Ability to obtain UCIMC Allied Health Professional Privileges prior to hire.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Infusion Center Experience (at least 2 or more years).
- Experience with clinical trial patient participation.
