The Human Resource Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operations of Graziano's Group's human resource department. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update human resource files, records, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Pre-screen candidates for market and restaurant positions, and coordinate interviews with general managers.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department, including data entry and record-keeping.
- May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
- Act as a liaison between Graziano's Group and external benefits providers and vendors.
- Conduct or assist with new hire orientation and assist with planning and execution of special events.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in a related field required.
- Prior related office experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
