The Human Resource Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operations of Graziano's Group's human resource department. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update human resource files, records, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Pre-screen candidates for market and restaurant positions, and coordinate interviews with general managers.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
  • Act as a liaison between Graziano's Group and external benefits providers and vendors.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation and assist with planning and execution of special events.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in a related field required.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
