- Deliver direct outpatient care to clinic patients, maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
- Perform physical assessments, establish diagnoses, determine treatment plans, provide and oversee appropriate therapies, prescribe medications, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Engage in and support quality assurance, quality enhancement, and utilization review initiatives.
- Oversee patient care professionals, technicians, and additional staff members.
- Conduct in-service training for clinic personnel to improve patient care practices.
- Contribute to the formulation of clinic protocols and procedures to guarantee quality medical services.
- Participate in utilization and peer review programs to assess the quality of medical services.
- Offer consultation services to fellow practitioners as needed.
- Attend and actively engage in both internal and external meetings aimed at enhancing patient services.
- Promote professional growth and development through involvement in educational programs, literature reviews, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Medical License in California; board eligible or certified
- Master's Degree in a relevant medical field
- Current CPR certification
- DEA license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Understanding of community health centers, public assistance programs, state and federal regulations, and managed care systems
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel), business email communication, and internet research capabilities
- Familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, with a preference for NextGen
