Key Responsibilities- Provide Medical Services: Deliver primary and preventive care to patients, including diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and other disorders.
- Stabilize and Refer Patients: Stabilize patients presenting to the office in need of urgent care and refer them to appropriate medical facilities when necessary.
- Examine and Treat Patients: Examine and treat patients assigned to other providers, assist in triaging and rescheduling, and complete patient charts according to medical standards.
- Complete Administrative Projects: Assist in obtaining lab specimens, complete administrative projects as assigned by the Medical Director, and maintain medical licenses, board certification, and admitting privileges.
- Participate in On-Call Schedule: Participate in the on-call schedule as set forth by the Medical Director.
- Supervise Mid-Level Providers: Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the area of your specialty.
- Precept Medical Students: Serve as a preceptor for medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistant students, and residents as assigned by the Medical Director.
- Adhere to Medical Office Policies: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all medical office policy and procedure manuals.
- Participate in Quality Assurance: Participate in Quality Assurance activities and assist with audits necessary to complete QA activities or specific program requirements.
- Advise Administration: Continually advise administration of any issues that may impact the practice.
- Education and Training: Graduate from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
- Residency Completion: Completion of an accredited residency.
- Board Certification: Board certification or board eligible in your specialty.
- License to Practice: Unrestricted license to practice within California.
- DEA: Valid DEA.
- Certifications: PALS or NRP, ACLS may be required.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision: 100% paid by Employer.
