Pullman, Washington, United States Washington State University Full time
The Opportunity

Washington State University's Passport to College is a project of the Office of Academic Engagement (OAE), funded by the Washington Student Achievement Council.

The Passport Program supports engagement, persistence, and graduation of eligible students and fosters an institutional climate supporting the success of students who have experienced foster care and homelessness.

The program provides academic support, emergency grant aid, financial education, and mentorship for program participants.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day logistics and services of a major program and student success initiative focused on supporting retention and success of the increasingly diverse population of students pursuing an undergraduate degree who have experienced foster care or homelessness.

Working alongside project leadership, you will provide support, develop and execute student programming, liaise with internal and external constituents, monitor student services, and supervise a team of undergraduate student workers.

You will be charged with carrying out the mission and strategic plan of the organization through effective and efficient coordination of operations and the development of opportunities.

Individuals who have experience overcoming barriers similar to those experienced by the target population are encouraged to apply.

OAE offers a hybrid model for professional employees dependent upon job responsibilities, employee experience, and department needs.

We recognize the benefits of flexible working arrangements, as well as engaging with our students and colleagues in-person.

Please note that we are located on the Pullman campus and this position requires in-office collaboration 3 days/week.

  • Knowledge of and experience working successfully with students and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and experience with programming, student services, and assessment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with programs serving the target populations.
  • Conflict and crisis management experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work effectively and positively in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Well-developed written, verbal, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
