Position Overview:
As a Supply Chain Management Specialist for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing the procurement of services, supplies, materials, parts, and equipment in compliance with applicable laws and institutional policies.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring accountability for all purchased items and services.
- Acting as the main liaison for faculty and university departments to facilitate travel and purchasing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Adapt swiftly to evolving market conditions and customer requirements.
- Utilize automated procurement and supply management systems efficiently.
- Participate actively in user committees to assist in developing contract specifications and resolving contract disputes.
- Prepare basic contract specifications, analyze bids or proposals, and make award determinations.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, procurement, logistics, supply management, or a closely related field; OR an Associate of Arts Degree in Purchasing Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field combined with two years of full-time purchasing experience; OR two years of experience as a Procurement and Supply Specialist 1 or equivalent education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a valid driver's license.

Salary Information: Monthly Salary - Prorated to 50% FTE: $1,955 - $2,620.50 | Range 45 Steps A - M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.
