Position Overview:

As a Supply Chain Management Specialist for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing the procurement of services, supplies, materials, parts, and equipment in compliance with applicable laws and institutional policies.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring accountability for all purchased items and services.
  • Acting as the main liaison for faculty and university departments to facilitate travel and purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Adapt swiftly to evolving market conditions and customer requirements.
  • Utilize automated procurement and supply management systems efficiently.
  • Participate actively in user committees to assist in developing contract specifications and resolving contract disputes.
  • Prepare basic contract specifications, analyze bids or proposals, and make award determinations.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, procurement, logistics, supply management, or a closely related field; OR an Associate of Arts Degree in Purchasing Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field combined with two years of full-time purchasing experience; OR two years of experience as a Procurement and Supply Specialist 1 or equivalent education/experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possession of a valid driver's license.
