Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instructional Support Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As an Instructional Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the instructional needs of our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of instructional laboratories and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to students, faculty, and staff during laboratory sessions and surgeries.
  • Order and maintain supplies and equipment for laboratory use.
  • May lead temporary employees and provide guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • For Instructional Support Specialist 1:
    • Six months of full-time experience/training in a related field; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • For Instructional Support Specialist 2:
    • A Bachelor's Degree with major study in a specific instructional area; or equivalent education/experience.
  • For Instructional Support Specialist 3:
    • A Bachelor's Degree with major study in a basic applied science AND two years of full-time experience as an Instructional Support Specialist 2; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Must pass WSU radiation safety training exam the first time it is available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a teaching/laboratory setting.
  • Experience working with small and large animals.
