We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Pullman Regional Hospital. As a key member of our Athletic Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing psychological evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for Washington State University student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify mental health concerns and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to student-athletes, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, and substance use.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers, team physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for student-athletes.
- Develop and implement harm reduction strategies to promote healthy behaviors and prevent substance use among student-athletes.
- Supervise and mentor other behavioral health clinicians working with student-athletes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of mental health promotion and education programs for student-athletes.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology or equivalent, including completion of a pre-doctoral internship.
- Washington state licensure to practice counseling or professional psychology.
- Minimum two years of experience counseling intercollegiate student-athletes.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA, conference, university, and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience providing counseling services in areas such as healthy relationships, substance use/abuse, life balance, and healthy life choices.
- Successful experience leading crisis intervention and treatment teams.
- Knowledge of multicultural issues and experience working with diverse populations.
- Experience working with electronic medical records systems.
