Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Plasma-Therm LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our controlling functions and overseeing the preparation of monthly reports, schedules, and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of financial plans and budgets, and provide financial guidance to management.
  • Vendor Management: Approve and code vendor invoices related to the Finance department.
  • Tax and Audit: Prepare and gather required schedules and documents for external tax and audit firms.
  • Accounting Systems: Maintain and update accounting-related processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Communication: Provide financial information to department managers and employees as requested.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Experience: Minimum seven years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • CPA preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze detailed financial information and compile reports.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system and Windows-based software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work Environment: The normal work environment is typical of a business office.
  • Physical Demands: The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, touch, see, and hear.
