Join our esteemed organization as a Construction Inspector within the Water Business Line. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the execution and quality assurance of our water-related projects. Your responsibilities will include evaluating work components, materials, design specifications, and project conditions to provide critical insights for successful project completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply local, state, and federal Standard Specifications and Procedures, addressing contractor inquiries effectively.
  • Monitor and document contractor activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract documents, and regulatory standards. Conduct quality assurance assessments and advise contractors on necessary corrective actions.
  • Utilize independent judgment to analyze and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Facilitate and participate in progress meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct material yield assessments, verify tolerances, and quantify payment items accurately.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications and word processing tools.
  • Maintain organized and precise project documentation for smaller projects and prepare records for audits by funding agencies.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction observation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inspection procedures and documentation standards is advantageous.
  • Strong time management, communication, and technical abilities are essential.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Bluebeam and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites is necessary.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Possession of or willingness to obtain relevant Inspector Training and safety certifications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be capable of operating a motor vehicle for company purposes.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to carry equipment and work in diverse weather conditions and terrains. Flexibility to travel for short- or long-term assignments is required.
