POSITION OVERVIEW
The Reservations Coordinator is responsible for managing all booking inquiries, modifications, and cancellations received through various communication channels including phone, fax, and mail. This role involves understanding guest preferences and recommending suitable accommodation options. It is essential to confirm the availability of desired room types and rates while clearly explaining policies regarding guarantees, special rates, and cancellations to guests.
The ideal candidate will accommodate and document unique guest requests, provide detailed information about the hotel's amenities and services, and utilize effective sales techniques to enhance revenue generation. Proficiency in the reservation system is required to accurately input and retrieve data, including special reservation categories such as complimentary stays, employee discounts, and travel agent rates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Protect company assets and uphold the privacy and security of guests and team members.
- Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, proactively addressing their service needs.
- Communicate effectively using professional language and proper telephone etiquette.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team objectives and responding appropriately to employee concerns.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards consistently.
- Perform physical tasks such as moving and lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Complete additional reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No prior experience required.
Supervisory Experience: Not applicable.
License or Certification: None required.
The compensation for this role ranges from $20.00 per hour, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare options, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, and additional wellness benefits.
