Position Overview:
The department is looking to fill one (1) full-time Renewable Energy Resources Analyst I/II position within the Risk Management and Contracts Administration Division.

This role is integral to a dynamic team focused on minimizing risks and managing a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of power purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Analyze and interpret contracts; help develop processes for timely and accurate contract management.
- Prepare and verify settlement statements and invoices for contracts.
- Support prepayment transaction activities related to invoice settlements.
- Address and resolve issues arising during contract administration and facilitate dispute resolution.
- Identify challenges in existing contract administration and propose enhancements for future agreements.
- Review and verify weekly CAISO settlement invoices and manage discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during contract negotiations and advise on settlement implications.
- Aid in the development of analytics to validate settlements and assess contract performance.
- Stay informed on regulatory laws affecting California energy procurement and settlements.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. A collaborative spirit with colleagues and external stakeholders is highly valued.

Compensation:
Power Resources Specialist I: $103,477.92 - $126,104.16
Power Resources Specialist II: $112,607.04 - $137,198.88
This salary range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Law, Natural Resources, Statistics, or a related analytical field.

Experience:
Power Resources Specialist I: No prior experience required.
Power Resources Specialist II: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in energy resources operations, planning, purchasing, scheduling, or contract negotiations.

Licenses:
Possession of a valid State of California Driver's license may be required.
