Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations, selecting proper technical factors, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
  • Remain proficient in executing software protocols and keep up to date with changes in the field
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency plus college/technical training
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1 year current/recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
