Job Summary:

As a Nursing Assistant I at UNC Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting. Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician, you will assist with routine examinations and procedures, procure equipment and supplies, and provide indirect care to patients and assigned areas.

Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with activities of daily living.
Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by the registered nurse or physician and document patient understanding of instructions.
Distribute patient education materials at the request of patients and/or healthcare providers.

Requirements:

Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
