Position Overview
This role is situated within the Environmental Management Services at the Veterans Health Administration. The Housekeeping Aid plays a vital role in ensuring that healthcare facilities are maintained to the highest standards for the benefit of Veterans and their families.

Key Responsibilities
The Housekeeping Aid is responsible for a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks across both patient and non-patient care areas. Duties include:

  • Performing floor maintenance and wall cleaning.
  • Cleaning doors, doorframes, baseboards, and stairwells.
  • Executing various cleaning techniques such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Managing waste disposal by emptying trash and recycling bins.
  • Sanitizing restrooms and ensuring cleanliness of lavatories, showers, and toilets.
  • Restocking supplies in designated areas.

Work Environment
This position may require working independently or as part of a team, often with minimal supervision. The Housekeeping Aid must be adaptable to various shifts and areas within the facility.
