Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Licensed Addiction Specialist to provide addictions rehabilitation, individual/group counseling, and staff resource education in a therapeutic setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Work as part of the Integrated Team to ensure individual care is coordinated with MA Behavioral Health Community Partners, One Care, and DMH Case Managers.
- Integrate PRISM Model into daily clinical approaches/interventions.
- Complete Substance Abuse Assessments for all individuals, as indicated.
- Develop interventions that address addictive behavior's impact on individuals.
- Facilitate dual diagnosis treatment groups, focusing on education/motivation, relapse prevention, and evidence-based practices.
- Assess mental health status, safety, and potential medication contraindications.
- Coordinate substance abuse services and serve as a liaison with other treatment facilities upon discharge.
- Complete clinical documentation in accordance with FHR Policy/Procedures, Funder Regulations, and CARF Requirements.
- Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC) required.
- One or more years of experience in providing support to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness desired.
- Preference will be given to multi-lingual candidates who meet the cultural and linguistic needs of the population served.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision.
- Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols.
- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license in the state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and an acceptable driving record.
