We're seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator Associate to join our team and help us improve the well-being of our patients.

This is a part-time position (28 hours weekly) with a 2-week rotation schedule (Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday – 11 PM – 7 AM CST; Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday – 11 PM – 7 AM CST) with rotating holidays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet visitors and patients in person
  • Communicate effectively by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer service
  • Handle confidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosing information to only those authorized
  • Prioritize tasks by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and competence in departmental procedures
  • Enter and update patient demographic and financial information, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in the process as possible
  • Obtain appropriate applications and forms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopy/scan documents as needed
  • Provide patients with financial responsibility information and collect patient liabilities, document amounts in the appropriate fields, and balance the cash box daily
  • Work with partnering departments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed as needed
  • Provide wayfinding instructions and assist with hospital information as requested
  • Coordinate patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable
  • Meet or exceed audit accuracy standards. Work worklists and error reports timely, and proactively seek assistance to resolve as needed

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work a 2-week rotation (Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday – 11 PM – 7 AM CST; Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday – 11 PM – 7 AM CST)
  • Ability to work rotating holidays
  • Ability to complete 6-8 weeks of training during 1st shift hours
  • Must be 18 years or age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records system
  • Experience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments
