Position Overview:

The Patient Registration Coordinator is responsible for establishing patient accounts with precise demographic and financial details to ensure the generation of accurate claims for third-party payers. This role involves verifying that all compliance documentation is correctly filled out and recorded on the patient's account. The coordinator will efficiently manage the registration process for all patients, serving as the first point of contact for the hospital, thus requiring exceptional customer service skills. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in an office setting is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and prior experience using a data entry system, typically gained through one year in a healthcare environment, is preferred. 1-2 years of customer service experience is also advantageous.

Educational Qualifications:

A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. 1-2 years of college education is preferred.

Key Skills:

Accurate data entry capabilities are crucial. Strong interpersonal skills and outstanding customer service abilities are necessary to effectively engage with patients and their families in all circumstances.
