Job Overview

Ultra Clean Technology Systems & Svc Inc is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in the semiconductor industry, which is rapidly evolving and integral to modern technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide personnel in the welding and assembly sectors.
  • Establish and manage work schedules effectively.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members to enhance their skills.
  • Maintain an up-to-date training and skill matrix for all staff.
  • Address and resolve production-related issues within the team or shift.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment that meets Clean Room standards.
  • Collaborate with materials, engineering, quality, and other departments to meet delivery timelines and maintain product quality.
  • Manage team performance, including conflict resolution, scheduling, training, and achieving delivery and quality goals.
  • Complete assigned manufacturing projects as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various operational teams to address delivery and quality challenges.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems; experience with Visual is preferred.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment sector or a related field is highly desirable. Experience in quick-turn, engineer-to-order environments is a plus.

Management Experience:

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in high-tech manufacturing is required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office and manufacturing setting.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Extended periods of talking on the phone and using a computer may be necessary.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to temperature variations, electrical hazards, and chemicals.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required in certain areas.
  • Noise levels may vary due to equipment and machinery.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary for training and meetings.
