The Institutional Support Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the operational and new business support functions within the Institutional Division. This includes coordinating and assisting in the management of current Institutional clients and the development of new partnerships, including those with credit unions. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily operational support for 401(k) plans.
- Oversee routine client checklists.
- Stay informed on policies and procedures relevant to 401(k) plans.
- Engage in activities that ensure compliance with ERISA and other regulations.
- Act as the primary contact for participant service requests, including distributions, account modifications, and investment inquiries.
- Respond promptly to participant phone calls, addressing inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
- Maintain a record of participant requests and their resolutions.
- Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and partnership implementation materials.
- Collaborate with various FCT departments to gather information for reviews, proposals, and management reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience and knowledge in 401(k) administration, financial planning, or wealth management preferred.
- Basic understanding of administrative and operational functions in a professional office setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
- Strong attention to detail along with conceptual and cognitive abilities.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
