Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
  • Analyze financial transactions for conformity with procedures and regulations.
  • Interpret output reports and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Work with internal and external customers to discuss financial processes or issues.
  • Process journal entries and reconcile accounts.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in a Business or Accounting office.
  • Experience with accounts payable processes.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business, accounting or equivalent coursework.
  • Experience using an interactive accounting system.
  • Experience interpreting output reports.
  • Experience analyzing financial transactions for conformity with procedures and regulations.
  • Experience processing journal entries.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers to discuss financial processes or issues.
  • Experience using SCT Banner.
  • Experience working in a government accounting office.
  • Experience using Excel.
