Job Summary

The Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Associate or Licensed Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our residential program, you will provide treatment services to patients according to our Clinical Model, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Documentation: Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation throughout the treatment process, adhering to our documentation standards.
  • Therapeutic Relationships: Establish and maintain therapeutic rapport with patients and their families, assessing their needs and providing support.
  • Admission Process: Facilitate admission assessments and the admission process for new patients, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude.
  • Treatment Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, communicating treatment goals and objectives with all team members.
  • Clinical Support: Provide additional clinical support to other team members in their absence, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Group Facilitation: Facilitate process-oriented and psychoeducation groups, as well as multi-family groups and family programs, to support patient recovery.
  • Utilization Reviews: Conduct utilization reviews with insurance companies, providing necessary clinical information for authorization and continuing stay approval.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with family members, loved ones, and referral sources, ensuring continuity of care and smooth transitions.
  • Discharge Planning: Begin discharge planning on the day of admission, ensuring patients understand their coping skills, transition plan, and resources.
  • Crisis Management: Effectively manage crises in sessions and the milieu, providing support to milieu staff and ensuring the highest level of clinical quality.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work)
  • Licensed therapist or mental health professional (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • Experience working in a residential treatment setting
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
