Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Play Therapist to join our team. As a Play Therapist, you will work with children aged 3-12 years old, utilizing play therapy techniques and methodologies to assess and treat mental health needs. You will be responsible for evaluating mental health diagnoses, creating and implementing treatment plans, and maintaining ongoing documentation.
Responsibilities- Evaluate mental health diagnoses using DSM-5 and create treatment plans
- Implement play therapy techniques and methodologies to assess and treat children's mental health needs
- Maintain ongoing documentation and clinical records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for children and their families
- Participate in marketing and referral development activities
- Provide excellent customer service and employ creative interventions to help patients achieve their goals
- Master's degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with at least 2 years of experience and pursuing licensure
- Strong skills in developing and implementing age-appropriate treatment plans, both individually and in group settings
- Meticulous clinical documentation and adherence to ethical guidelines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Certified Play Therapist (CPT) certification
- Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) training
- Filial or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy certification
- Music, Art, or Expressive Art Therapy training or certification
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $53,000 to $72,000 per year, as well as a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and training and development opportunities.
