Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Procurement Planning: Design and implement procurement strategies that support the organization's mission, ensuring cost efficiency and timely acquisition of materials and services.
  • Supplier Engagement: Build and nurture strong partnerships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and terms to secure optimal pricing and service quality.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Assess and select vendors and service providers based on their ability to meet organizational needs, focusing on reliability and compliance.
  • Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs through effective sourcing, negotiation, and process enhancements while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement, including supply chain disruptions and compliance issues.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with various departments to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and anticipate future needs.
  • Vendor Oversight: Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services, fostering strong relationships to support operational needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to industry regulations and best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop a team of procurement professionals, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of procurement initiatives and provide insights to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with teams across the organization, including finance, engineering, and operations, to ensure procurement activities are aligned with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within the aviation MRO sector.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPSM or CSCP are advantageous.
