Job Title: Procurement Manager for Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul

This is a leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing assigned procurement activities for FEAM, the MRO leader in aircraft line maintenance engineering in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead procurement activities to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory controls, company policies, and best practices.
  • Direct purchasing activity to ensure requisitions are actioned timely, efficiently, in conformance with contracts, and in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of requisitioned materials and services.
  • Analyze market intelligence to identify key trends and refine managed category structure and purchasing activities as necessary to deliver ongoing procurement effectiveness.
  • Manage administration of supplier contracts including contract files and data management.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and service level performance.
  • Employ risk mitigation techniques related to procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal customers and stakeholders to develop requirements, statements of work, requests for quotes, and requests for proposals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related area.
  • 5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or related roles, preferably with a focus in aviation.
  • Record of achievement in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Must possess strong business acumen and a highly professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong ability to influence positive outcomes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in business system and tools, including ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
