Job Summary:

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Monroe, North Carolina. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for facilitating and promoting safety throughout the facility, utilizing MRP software to create and maintain routings, and identifying and leading projects to improve design, development, and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and promote safety throughout the facility
  • Utilize MRP software to create and maintain routings
  • Identify and lead projects to improve design, development, and cost savings
  • Work with manufacturing technicians to develop and improve tooling, equipment, and fixturing
  • Act as a technical resource for manufacturing departments
  • Support company capital plans through the design and development of work cells, machines, fixtures, and tooling
  • Program, edit, and validate CNC lathes and mills
  • Review production orders and schedules to plan department operations
  • Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
  • Coordinate daily activities involved in the operation of the Manufacturing Engineering Department
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP software (AS/400 experience strongly preferred)
  • CNC machining, programming, and fixture design experience
  • Experience with non-destructive inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of basic statistics
  • Familiar with Root Cause and Preventive Action methods
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing field preferred
  • Associate degree and 3+ years experience or in lieu of formal education, 7+ years experience in manufacturing engineering
