Job Summary

Lena Sears Child Development Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Assistant to join our team. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our lead teachers in creating a safe and engaging learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collaborating with lead teachers to develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Assisting with classroom management, including supervising students during non-classroom times and maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Providing individualized support to students, including revising lesson material and documenting student progress.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Participating in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • CDA certification or higher in education or a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a teaching assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
