Job Summary:
The Assistant Director serves as a key member of the Education Unlimited team, supporting the Camp Director in creating a positive and engaging camp environment for students. This role is ideal for individuals interested in leadership and education, and provides a valuable opportunity to develop skills and experience in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Camp Director in planning and implementing recreational activities for campers
- Supervise campers outside of the classroom, including evening supervision and ensuring their safety and well-being
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as responding to parent inquiries, running errands, and managing instructor supplies
- Act as a mentor and role model for students, providing guidance and support as needed
- Participate in field trips and excursions, leading students and ensuring their safety
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently enrolled) required
- Calm and professional demeanor
- Self-motivation and follow-through
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong people skills
- Passion for education and working with students
What We Offer:
Education Unlimited provides a comprehensive benefits package, including room and board for residential staff. This is a residential position, and staff must share supervision duties at night. Assistant Directors may be hired for one week or several weeks, and are expected to be flexible and adaptable in their role.
