Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Manager to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our clinical department, ensuring that all business and administrative matters are managed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Manage and coordinate the business operations of the department, including budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Financial Management: Develop and implement financial plans, monitor budget variances, and make recommendations to senior management to improve performance.
  • Policy Development: Formulate and implement department policies and guidelines to support the University's mission and goals.
  • Human Resources: Oversee the review, approval, and reporting of all expenditures, as well as the recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Contract Management: Monitor contractual obligations and ensure consistency with departmental budget, goals, and programmatic initiatives.
  • Internal Controls: Evaluate and improve internal controls and approval processes to ensure fiscal integrity and operational efficiency.
Department Specific Functions
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily clinical operations of the department, ensuring that all sites have optimal coverage for the ORs and offsites.
  • Onboarding and Exit Clearance: Manage the onboarding process of new faculty and CRNAs, as well as the exit clearance process.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate projects and develop policies regarding supplies, storage, and surplus items.
  • Space Management: Manage the space certification process and internal moves and space reassignments.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency and hurricane preparedness protocols for the department.
  • Call Scheduling: Manage the monthly call schedules for faculty regarding call assignments and advise Division Chief of any issues regarding uncovered calls.
  • Timecard Approval: Coordinate the biweekly approval of CRNAs' timecards.
  • Shared Drives: Create and manage internal and external shared drives for the department.
  • Credentialing: Assist in the credentialing and re-credentialing process for faculty and CRNAs.
  • License Renewals: Assist faculty and CRNAs with license, DEA renewals, and Medicare revalidation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial forms, such as BERFs, POs, work orders, and check requisitions.
  • Policies and Protocols: Update Faculty and CRNA policies and protocols.
  • Presentations and Reports: Prepare PowerPoint presentations, update CVs in the University Digital Measures website, and update lecture material for residents.
  • Compliance: Assist in collecting required documents for departmental compliance from faculty and CRNAs.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of business and management principles, ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations, and ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
