Job Overview:
L3Harris Technologies Inc. is in search of a seasoned Lab Supervisor / Maintenance Operations Specialist to oversee our testing laboratories that support critical contracts.

This role involves managing all laboratory functions, including equipment testing workflows, team member assignments, laboratory upkeep, and collaboration with program leaders and quality assurance teams.


Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Engineering Services Specialist will be responsible for:

1. Developing and overseeing work schedules while directly assigning tasks to technicians for daily operations and short-term projects.
2. Managing logistics and workflow to ensure adherence to schedules and program directives.
3. Coordinating with various programs to understand priorities and facilitate urgent requirements.

4. Creating and maintaining process directives and training materials to support technicians in their roles.

5. Ensuring accountability and tracking of all laboratory assets, maintaining inventory levels, and managing calibration schedules for testing equipment.

6. Providing necessary training and tools to lab technicians to enable them to perform their duties effectively.

7. Utilizing computer-based systems to generate, track, and document work authorization materials.

8. Collaborating with Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with L3Harris standards.

9. Supporting lean initiatives and process improvements while adhering to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.


Qualifications:
1. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
2. Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
3. Proven experience in managing technical teams and overseeing testing and repair facilities.

Preferred Skills:
1. Familiarity with operations, testing, and maintenance of SATCOM electronics.

2. A collaborative mindset, proactive approach, and customer-oriented attitude with a strong sense of urgency.

3. Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of tasks.

5. Experience in updating detailed technical documentation and procedures.

6. Ability to comprehend and apply relevant engineering processes effectively.

7. Proficiency in reading and understanding work instructions and performing computer-related tasks independently.

8. Experience supporting government and/or DoD clients.

9. Knowledge of ESD safe environments and related training/certification.

10. Familiarity with standard electronic testing and measurement equipment operations.
