Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Accountant to join our team at Progress Residential. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for various finance, compliance, and accounting duties.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare, analyze, and record entries in the general ledger
* Maintain and improve reporting within the various accounting and payroll systems
* Administer the time allocation system and analyze data for accuracy and completeness
* Work closely with the human resources team to monitor and report data inconsistencies
* Prepare monthly accruals and account reconciliations
* Maintain best-in-class quality control, ensuring on-time delivery and report accuracy while identifying opportunities for data quality improvement
* Provide assistance during annual audits

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
* Years of related experience
* Proficient in various software packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Experience recording and/or processing payroll a plus
* Yardi and/or Workday experience a plus
* Residential real estate/property management experience a plus
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Attention to accuracy and detail required
* Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-growing environment
