About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in the Department of Anesthesiology at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various procedures.
Job Summary
Analyze and develop anesthesia plans for patients, administer medications and monitor vital signs during procedures, and maintain accurate records of patient care. Collaborate with attending anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Meet quality metrics for turnover times, on-time starts, and QI submissions. Participate in continuing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities
1. Assess patients pre-operatively, developing anesthesia plans, documenting assessment and plan, and explaining risks and benefits to patients and families.
2. Provide anesthesia care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate records.
3. Collaborate with attending anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
4. Meet quality metrics for turnover times, on-time starts, and QI submissions.
5. Participate in continuing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Completion of a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
Certified or eligible for certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
No prior experience required.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $92.11 - $130.71 per hour (Hiring Range)
