About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Anesthesiology Professional to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with skilled professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is $159,660.00, reflecting the competitive compensation package offered by UNC Health Care. Additionally, employees enjoy a range of benefits, including state of North Carolina benefits, a 40k sign-on bonus over 2 years, tuition reimbursement up to 100k over 3 years, self-scheduling, minimal call, nights, and weekends, and 6 weeks of vacation.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Anesthesiology Professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing patients pre-operatively in a timely and efficient manner, developing anesthesia plans of care, documenting assessments, and explaining risks and benefits to patients and families.
  • Providing anesthesia services, including administering medications, placing lines and monitors, and transporting patients post-procedure.
  • Maintaining accurate records, Impact Care reports, and other documents related to patient care.
  • Contributing to performance improvement initiatives, evaluating problem areas, and implementing measures to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must:

  • Hold a completion certificate from a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
  • Be certified or eligible for certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist.
  • Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina.

Work Environment

This position is a full-time employment opportunity with UNC Faculty Physicians, offering a variable schedule and 36 standard hours per week. The location is US:NC:Chapel Hill, providing easy access to modern facilities and resources.
