Senior Software Engineer - Technical Operations Team

In the role of Senior Software Engineer within the Technical Operations team, you will play a crucial part in the implementation and management of diverse operational processes. Collaborating closely with Infrastructure, Development, and Trade Support teams, you will design and automate processes related to application deployment, hardware provisioning, and the monitoring of our trading systems. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, possess a strong work ethic, and exhibit clear communication skills, while seeking an opportunity to contribute to the design and deployment of internal software that supports our trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and optimize existing processes, pipelines, and systems to boost trading and technology efficiency.
  • Develop applications that facilitate real-time trading operations, including monitoring and automation processes.
  • Simplify critical systems by creating tools and automating tasks to minimize human intervention.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of both internal and external applications.
  • Automate container-based deployment pipelines and continuous integration systems.
  • Collaborate with core development, support, and trading teams to implement fixes, introduce new features, and deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Guide and mentor emerging software engineers within the Technical Operations team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps or software development.
  • Proven experience in software development using C#, with a focus on automation and integration; familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience in managing databases such as MariaDB and MSSQL.
  • Extensive experience in building CI/CD pipelines, preferably with TeamCity.
  • Expertise in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly GIT.
  • Experience in artifact management.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong desire to automate tasks.
  • The ability to analyze and resolve issues promptly in a fast-paced setting.
  • Adaptability to new information and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a probabilistic mindset.
  • Experience in the trading industry is advantageous.
