About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Liaison I to join our team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our marketing department, you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating department-wide projects related to marketing and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary marketing project liaison among department business units, marketing, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet department and corporate strategic goals.
  • Maintain awareness of developing initiatives, products, and services within the department and how they may relate to those of other Navy Federal departments.
  • Oversee and review the coordination of projects and initiatives within the department and provide guidance on issues having department and/or organization-wide impact.
  • Ensure that project documentation and schedules are in compliance with regulatory and Navy Federal requirements and standards.
  • Negotiate with management and stakeholders to facilitate project resolution within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Solicit and incorporate edits from management regarding marketing/promotional materials, brochures, etc.; issue recommendations to Marketing.
  • Oversee the implementation of new marketing initiatives related to the department's products and/or services in coordination with Marketing.
  • Consult with department management regarding the development of marketing plans and campaigns that promote initiatives for membership growth and product penetration.
  • Meet with the department's senior management to discuss project campaigns that impact the department marketing direction, status, and changes.
  • Work with Marketing Department, vendors, trade, and industry organizations to identify and promote new marketing opportunities.
  • Research existing products and services to identify opportunities to increase membership acquisition and retention and strengthen product portfolios through Marketing & Advertising, Social Media, and Corporate Communications strategies.
  • Manage major corporate level department marketing related projects to develop, enhance, and promote the business of the department.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental business units and vendors in the implementation of the department's marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Build relationships with management, staff, key stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Oversee the communication of all promos, campaigns, events, incentives, and updates to the individual business units to maximize the effectiveness and impact of initiatives.
  • Partner with other business units to support and expand the social media program.
  • Oversee updates to brochures and forms; communicate new or updated forms, brochures, etc. to cognizant areas.
Requirements
  • Progressively responsible experience that demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of marketing practices, project management, and market research.
  • Familiarity with department goals, products, services, and current and upcoming initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet changing requirements and priorities to accomplish project goals.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising initiative and good judgment, solve problems, and make sound and timely decisions.
  • Experience working effectively with all levels of employees, management, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and communicate regulations, instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with PCs and related software applications.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading, guiding, and mentoring others.
  • Strong administration, planning, and organization skills.
  • Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
