Job Summary:

As a Mental Health Worker Butler PT Days D2, you will play a vital role in providing patient advocacy through your own role modeling of high standards of performance and effective communication. You will assist registered nurses in direct patient care, focusing on patients' activities of daily living, while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit. Your expertise in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist registered nurses in direct patient care, focusing on patients' activities of daily living.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation, monitoring, interacting, and providing/assisting in groups.
  • Communicate and meet patients' needs for service, promoting a patient-centered approach.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health and social services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any of the social sciences or comparable behavioral health experience.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
