About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our Support and Services at Home (SASH) team at Saint Elizabeth Community in Providence, RI. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with our SASH Coordinator and Wellness Nurse to provide whole-person, trauma-informed care coordination and support to our program participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual therapeutic support to program participants through in-person, phone, and telehealth sessions.
  • Assess, screen, and triage services to identify unaddressed needs and connect participants with community resources and providers.
  • Work collaboratively with the SASH team to coordinate care and develop group-based educational programs on mental health, aging, and emotional wellness.
  • Contribute to additional support programming as assigned and facilitate on-site educational and support groups.
  • Assist the agency in assessing and providing effective, equitable, and respectful quality care and services that are responsive to diverse cultural beliefs and practices.
Requirements
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Or Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field with at least 2 years' experience in behavioral health.
  • Experience in service provision of trauma-informed care and behavioral health needs of older adult populations.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with neurodegenerative conditions and best practices related to elder care, health in housing, mental & behavioral health.
