Overview:
The Information Security initiative at Burns & McDonnell is dedicated to safeguarding the organization's data, systems, and personnel against the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats. Our primary goal is to consistently minimize cybersecurity risks across the company.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to assist in various domains including security governance, access control, risk assessment, incident management, vulnerability analysis, and the implementation and operation of security technologies. This role is based in an office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the escalation and management of cyber threats in line with established incident response protocols.
- Conduct thorough security evaluations as per defined procedures to identify risks associated with software, services, and technologies utilized or considered by the organization.
- Develop and uphold Information Security policies, standards, and governance documentation.
- Oversee the remediation of security issues identified through audits, vulnerability assessments, or penetration testing.
- Implement and manage designated security technologies and controls to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
- Participate in routine processes to support compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
- Facilitate identity and access management in accordance with evolving processes related to the Information Security strategy.
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs, particularly focusing on phishing threats.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of information security.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, GSEC, or other specialized cybersecurity credentials covering multiple domains.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate security concepts and risks to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and concepts.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, EDR, IPS, SIEM, SOAR, CASB, CAASM, IAM, PAM, NAC, MFA, and DLP.
- Understanding of common network and security protocols including DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/UDP, IPSec, SNMP, and SAML.
- Ability to evaluate cybersecurity risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Experience in applying security regulations and policies.

Demonstrated Knowledge:
- Methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
- Principles of computer forensics.
- Requirements analysis techniques.
- Procedures for procuring and utilizing commercial off-the-shelf products.
- Performance management methodologies.
- Analytical skills and effective communication techniques.
- Testing and assessment methodologies.
- Network operations and protocols.
- Principles of life cycle management.
