Overview:

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Technical Analyst to:
  • Assist in the management of enterprise-level hybrid cloud data center operations for the US Marine Corps (USMC)
  • Facilitate mission-critical operations for USMC customers worldwide
Your Role:

As a Cybersecurity Technical Analyst, you will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on providing comprehensive cybersecurity support for the hybrid-cloud enterprise hosting environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting vulnerability assessments, monitoring compliance, managing accreditation packages, and supporting the development of the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for identified security vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages for the data center and engage in continuous monitoring activities.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical support for authorization and accreditation processes
  • Perform vulnerability management assessments utilizing ACAS (Tenable Nessus) and other relevant tools, including the development of mitigation strategies and documentation support
  • Collaborate with operational teams to devise solutions for vulnerability mitigation and prepare necessary cybersecurity documentation for approval
  • Prepare systems for review and conduct independent verification and validation (self-assessments)
  • Create POA&M for identified vulnerabilities and develop remediation and mitigation strategies
  • Support accreditation activities for both deployed and in-development infrastructure, including the preparation of supporting documentation and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with independent verification and validation teams and program office cybersecurity support to enhance overall cybersecurity initiatives
  • Develop and maintain accreditation package requirements using the USMC's accreditation tool - MCCAST
  • Implement scripting and automation to support continuous monitoring efforts
Qualifications

Required Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; consideration will also be given to candidates with a high school diploma and 9 years of relevant experience
  • IAT II Certification
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Possess a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DISA STIG/Security framework implementation; experience with cloud environments is preferred
  • Extensive experience in conducting vulnerability management using Tenable ACAS and reporting through Security Center and Nessus
  • Familiarity with IAVM/IAVA management and reporting
  • Solid understanding of DoD cybersecurity infrastructure tools, including PKI, data encryption, and McAfee HBSS/ePO
  • Strong technical foundation in system administration, with experience in assessing cybersecurity risks and mitigation measures across enterprise data center systems, including virtualization, networking, storage (SAN, NAS), Windows, Linux, Oracle, SQL databases, and SharePoint solutions
  • Experience working within an Enterprise ITSM solution and managing queue operations (BMC Remedy preferred)
  • Proficient in maintaining RMF-based accreditation packages
  • Experience with certification and accreditation tools/GRC, such as MCCAST (built on RSA Archer preferred) or eMASS
  • Experience configuring data center monitoring and management solutions
  • Familiarity with log management and SIEM solutions to support cybersecurity programs
  • Basic understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes (ITIL training or certification preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACAS and RMF certifications
  • Azure or AWS Cloud Certification or completed training

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.
