Nuclear Operations Maintenance Lead

Position Overview: The Nuclear Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing maintenance operations within a nuclear facility, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level supervision to represented personnel, adhering to the Company/Union Collective Bargaining Agreement and established Work Standards.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of maintenance tasks by qualified personnel, utilizing approved procedures and practices.
- Oversee maintenance activities to align with PSEG safety policies, following all administrative and technical guidelines.
- Conduct supervisory functions, including personnel evaluations, hiring processes, and recommendations for disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate all aspects of maintenance outage planning and scheduling to maximize efficiency and adherence to timelines.
- Assess and determine man-loading requirements to guarantee adequate resources for scheduled tasks.
- Facilitate scheduling with job performance logics to maintain optimal workflow.
- Collaborate with various station departments to finalize work schedules and participate in necessary coordination meetings.
- Administer personnel activities, ensuring fair implementation of the Company/Union Collective Bargaining Agreement and PSEG policies.
Job Specific Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 4 years of operational plant experience, including at least 1 year in a nuclear facility or 1 year in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Controls disciplines.
- Experience in Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) operational plants or related commercial industries.
- Strong background in planning and scheduling functions.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Database Applications, and Crystal report writing.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain necessary supervisory qualifications (ANSI qualifications) and maintain unescorted site access at Nuclear facilities.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physical Science.
- Experience in directing or supervising bargaining unit personnel.
Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years of relevant experience.
