This role encompasses the territories of New Jersey and New York, offering a competitive base salary complemented by unlimited commission opportunities.


New Business Development - Prospecting, RFP and Bid Preparation:

  • Establish new client relationships through networking, prospecting, and cold calling techniques.
  • Collaborate with management for prospect approvals and conduct necessary conflict checks.
  • Engage in client outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Review incoming RFPs and oversee all pricing-related activities.
  • Conduct on-site prospecting for potential clients at least three days a week.
  • Maintain relationships with potential clients who are not yet ready for services.
  • Participate in client walkthroughs to finalize bids and proposals.
  • Prepare and present bids, proposals, and RFPs to prospective clients.
  • Address inquiries from potential clients regarding bids and proposals.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Manager or President on staffing levels and pricing strategies.
  • Model labor and pricing for all bids, ensuring approval from the President.

Relationship Management - Prospect Tracking and CRM Management:

  • Update and maintain client and prospect information in the CRM system.
  • Organize and track customer leads and relationships through daily CRM management.
  • Ensure regular contact with new clients for at least one year post-service initiation.
  • Conduct monthly follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Aggregate and organize all prospects for appropriate personnel assignment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide monthly sales reports to the Sales Manager or President.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or President.
  • Maintain economic and market data files.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments during the onboarding of new accounts for a seamless transition.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for service initiation, renewals, and commission requests per company policy.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales.
  • Minimum of 2 years in B2B Sales with a proven track record of relationship development.
  • Experience in government contracting is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and follow-up is essential.
  • Ability to identify decision-makers and close sales effectively.
  • Proficient in customizing proposals to meet unique client needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
