About the Role

The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care at Community Health Network. This position works closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure patients receive the best possible administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide timely and accurate administrative support to patients, including checking them in for appointments, collecting payments, and answering phone calls.
  • Communication: Develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, providers, and clinical staff.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Utilize the electronic medical record system to verify and update patient demographic information, as well as post and balance payments collected.
  • Referral Coordination: Coordinate referrals and check insurance eligibility to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment or a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Skills: Strong listening and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records.
